Our newest home, rebuilt from the ground up on the canal. Five bedrooms and three full bathrooms sleeping sixteen, including four folding beds (two in the air-conditioned man cave) made up with a mattress, sheets and a blanket, with a heated pool under a full screen cage and a dedicated man cave.
Bring your own boat. The dock is at the bottom of the garden with a lift on it, and there are no bridges between you and the open harbor, about 5-7 minutes by boat — nothing to wait on, no mast clearance to work out. About five minutes of idle water and you are in the open. Trailer boats park right beside the dock; larger boats and yachts come straight in and tie up. If you would rather not tow one down, a boat is also available on request.
Two of the bedrooms are king suites and one opens straight onto the pool deck. Two more are queen rooms, and the bunk room sleeps four, so nobody ends up on the sofa. The kitchen is full size with an island built for a group this large.
Port Charlotte, minutes from the Rays spring training complex at Charlotte Sports Park and a short drive to the Braves at CoolToday Park in North Port.
Step outside. The whole back of the house opens onto a screened pool deck right on the water. The heated pool sits under a full screen cage, framed by sun loungers, floating loungers and two hanging egg chairs on soft turf, with potted palms all around. Sliding glass walls fold all the way back so the lounge flows straight out to the pool, and the private dock and canal are just steps beyond — see the gallery for the full outdoor view.
